Ian Dugdale

Currently living near Cambridge in the UK, Ian mainly works as a landscape painter working in Oil paint and Watercolour. Moving to East Anglia in recent years has led to some changes in the priorities in the work with skies taking on a far larger role.

Born and brought up in Cheshire, Ian studied Painting at the Royal Academy Schools in London where he was taught by Peter Greenham RA, Mike Upton, Roderick Barrett and a number of visiting Royal Academicians. While there he won the Creswick Prize for Landscape (RA Silver Medal) and a David Murray studentship, again for landscape.

Ian has exhibited in Cork Street, at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and in the Discerning Eye exhibition.
